ScalePractice collects no personal data. There is no account, no registration, no analytics, no advertising and no advertising identifiers. The app does not connect to the internet; there is no server data could go to.
When listening is switched on, the app uses the microphone to work out the pitch of the note you play. The analysis happens on the device alone and in real time. Nothing is recorded, nothing is stored and nothing is transmitted. With listening off the app does not access the microphone; the permission can be withdrawn in system settings at any time.
The settings you choose — scales, positions, display, language, metronome tempo — are stored locally on the device only. Uninstalling the app removes them.
The purchase is handled by Apple or Google. The provider of this app receives no payment details and no information about the buyer. The privacy notices of the respective store apply.
As no personal data is processed, requests for access, rectification or erasure have nothing to act on. Questions are welcome at ds@ihanwel.net. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
