Dogs, heats, daily observations, measurements, notes, pictures and settings are stored exclusively in a database on your device. Lunella has no server, no account and no sign-in. None of this data is transmitted to the provider or to third parties. An optional setup password is stored on the device only as a check value (PBKDF2), never in plain text.
Lunella is free and can be used without restriction for 7 days. After that, new observations and breeder mode require a yearly subscription. You buy and cancel the subscription through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play; their privacy policies apply to the payment. Lunella only learns from the store whether a subscription is active and stores this and the date of first launch (for the trial) on the device, on iPhone and iPad also in the keychain so that the trial survives a reinstall. The provider receives no payment data.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking services and no advertising identifiers. No profiling takes place.
Notifications are requested only so that reminders (e.g. before the next heat) appear at the chosen time; they are triggered locally on the device, not via a server. A picture is read only when you select it yourself in the photo picker. There is no access to contacts, location, microphone, camera or health data.
With “Create backup”, “Share report” and “Share profile card” the app creates a file and hands it to the device's share sheet. Where this file goes (e.g. cloud storage, e-mail to the vet) is entirely up to you; the terms of the chosen service apply.
You delete your data in the app or by uninstalling Lunella. As nothing is stored on a server, it is then completely removed. You cancel an active subscription in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account; uninstalling does not cancel it.
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Please send requests to ds@ihanwel.net. As Lunella transmits no data to the provider, the provider holds no personal data about you.
